For this Pacific Palisades project, the homeowners sought out LETTER FOUR's complete Design-Build services to fully transform a dark, 1950s Spanish-style bungalow into their dream home. The original house was a small, single-story on an oddly-shaped lot with an awkward floor plan which simply wasn't functional for a growing family. We added a second story, a roof deck, reconfigured the first floor, and fully transformed the finishes, fixtures, flow, function, and feel of the home, all while securing an exemption from California Coastal Commission requirements. We couldn't be more thrilled with the final result: a modern Spanish gem that shines brightly for our clients in one of Los Angeles's most picturesque residential neighborhoods.
