Our Crestway Drive project, in the historic Los Angeles neighborhood of View Park, was a Mid-Century Modern gem in need of some polishing. At 4080 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, the homeowners did not need additional square footage, but certain refinements were in order. We took what was previously a small, dark kitchen and butler’s pantry and completely reconfigured, while also adding skylights to create an open, functional, light-filled space. We installed new cabinetry, countertops, and fun wallpaper, as well as installing new terrazzo flooring throughout the main level. We also opened the dining room to the kitchen and living room to create one very large great room with a view to the pool and grounds below. The downstairs entertaining area is set up perfectly for indoor-outdoor entertaining, with new slide-fold doors out to the newly updated pool, patio, and landscaping. We updated all bathrooms, and at the master bath, we switched the location of the closet and bathroom to bring in natural light and view to the back yard from the master tub. Updates by Letter Four include architecture, and full interior design, including furnishings, fixtures, and accessories, as well as full Design-Build services.
